This week in Magic finance, Modern takes center stage with Erayo, Soratami Ascendant gaining nearly 300% to $45 thanks to a new self-bounce build of Cori-Steel Cutter, which looks to use various moxen to flip Erayo as early as turn one! While the deck looks sweet, I'd take the current price with a grain of salt. So far, it doesn't seem like many copies of Erayo, Soratami Ascendant have sold at the new price point. Landing in the $30 range post-buyout seems likely unless the new Erayo Cutter deck becomes a tier option in the format. 

Meanwhile, in Premodern, Devastating Dreams is the new hotness, with the Torment sorcery gaining more than 600% to $11 this week after its adoption in some Terravore decks in the format. While paying $10 for Devastating Dreams might sound rough, the same deck requires $6,000 worth of Mox Diamonds, so spending $40 on a playset of Devastating Dreams probably isn't that big of a deal for a dedicated Premodern player. 

Finally, in Commander, the Warhammer card Magnus the Red more than doubled up to $18 this week thanks to its synergy with all the new spells matter cards from Secrets of Strixhaven. While the card seems good with both of the new commanders from the Prismari precon in Rootha, Mastering the Moment (borderless) and Muddle, the Ever-Changing (019d4a1a-605d-76e8-b4f2-99d7f13dfe9c), Magnus the Red also becomes a much more interesting commander thanks to the power level of the new Izzet spellslinger cards from the set like Resonating Lute (019d4f6d-bf86-7492-9f8a-b13b805084ff). We've already seen several cards from Warhammer push past the $30 price point, with Marneus Calgar leading the way at $55, so we know there's still room for Magnus the Red to grow, especially considering the pseudo-Reserved List nature of being from a Universes Beyond precon.
