Arclight Phoenix Legion's Landing History of Benalia

Normally the big news of every Pro Tour weekend is Standard prices going crazy, but Pro Tour Guilds of Ravnica had relatively little impact on prices. While Arclight Phoenix ticked up 13% to just under $25 and Path of Discovery (which didn't show up on camera at the Pro Tour) jumped 64% to $1.65, the big spikes from past Pro Tours simply didn't materialize. This is likely partly because the Pro Tour is happening six weeks after the release of the set and partly because we didn't have any new, exciting decks show up in Atlanta. Standard should remain mostly stable as we move towards Ravnica Allegiance this winter.

This said, on Magic Online (which is often ahead of paper in terms of price movement) most of the card in Boros Weenie/Aggro are on the rise, headlined by Legion's Landing, History of Benalia, and Benalish Marshal. If you're thinking of playing the deck in paper, it can't hurt to pick up the pieces soon, just in case the Magic Online movement makes its way to paper over the next week or two.

In Modern, the price of cards being reprinted in Ultimate Masters are dropping pretty much across the board, with many staples down around 10% on the week. There was some worry in the community that the higher box price would keep the prices of singles high, but there's enough value in the set that the MSRP of the box isn't especially important. If you're looking to pick up cheap Ultimate Masters singles, the best time frame is generally a month to six months after the set releases, so the start of 2019 will be the time to get your Modern staples on the cheap.
