Fish Five-0: Not Your Typical Vampires
Gameplan
The Streets of New Capenna Championships brought us one of the coolest decks in Grixis Vampires! This list was piloted by Mike Sigrist and it's a different playstyle to vampires as it's way more midrange and value-based.
The deck is loaded with value but one of the coolest things to take off is Corpse Appraiser. The card is a form of graveyard hate and card selection. The best thing is how well it pairs with Fable of the Mirror-Breaker! Being able to continuously plop a beefy 3/3 body and digging for cards is unbeatable. On top of that, the vampire type plays extremely well with Evelyn, the Covetous. The Flashy five drop is able to get us value from either our deck or our opponent's. The fact that the card itself is an x/5 means it survives combat and can't be picked off by a single Voltage Surge. It also dodges Vanishing Verse so it's everything we could want!
Conclusion
If midrange grind fests are your thing, this is definitely a fun list to pilot!
