Commander Clash S9 E5: 5 Tix Decks! | Arcades vs. Feather vs. Talrand vs. Tatyova
Hey friends, welcome back to Commander Clash! As you're probably all aware, we play our games for this show using a program called Magic Online which fully supports the Commander format and does so really well (as long as it's not crashing). You might be interested in playing some Commander on the program as well, but the price barrier keeps some people away from trying. Fear not, friends, because recently there's been a way to borrow complete Commander decks for free online using Cardhoarder's free 5 ticket loan accounts!
One "ticket" is a Magic Online currency equivalent to one dollar, so you basically get a five dollar loan account, which doesn't sound like much but since digital card prices are a fraction of their paper counterparts you can easily build powerful decks using a five ticket budget! Today we're showing off four decks built with this budget restriction:
- Crim stays on-brand playing Mono Blue Spellslinger Control, stopping his opponents from having too much fun while amassing an army of tokens with Talrand, Sky Summoner
- Richard forsakes his jank tribal tendencies this week, instead piloting a Land deck that uses lands to fuel powerful abilities, such as drawing cards with Tatyova, Benthic Druid
- Seth just wants to draw cards in peace, so he's playing a Wall deck to deter attackers while he draws tons of cards off Arcades, the Strategist
- Tomer sees a sea of Blue and that makes him Red with envy, so he's decided to punish the durdly decks with a grindy Voltron Control list built around the Boros darling, Feather, the Redeemed
Will Boros triumph over all this Blue? Who will draw the most cards? Find out now in this episode of Commander Clash! But first, a quick reminder: if you like Commander Clash and other video content here on MTGGoldfish, make sure to subscribe to the MTGGoldfish Youtube Channel to keep up with the latest and greatest.

Our House Bans
In addition to the official Commander ban list, the following cards are banned on our show:
- Sol Ring
- Mana Crypt
- Mana Vault
- Cyclonic Rift
- any individual card over $100
These additional bans are done to promote games that are more consistently enjoyable for our viewers.
Next Week: CEDH!
Each of us have only one goal next week: win! We are playing a game of CEDH using deck lists recommended to us by the CEDH channel Play To Win, so you can be certain that the decks are legit tier 1 lists even though we play them terribly! The recording is done and I must say it's one of my favorite episodes in a while!
