Single Scoop: Mono White Aggro (Standard)
Gameplan
Mono White was already looking healthy and primed for rotation so let's see what new tools they got with Midnight Hunt!
So Intrepid Adversary needs no explanation as this card is an amazing threat for a great rate. At its base level, it's a 3/1 lifelink that scales into the late game to anthem your team. Sungold Sentinel is a card I was excited for mostly because I imagine graveyards being relevant in a disturb and flashback meta. On top of that, it has a coven ability that I imagine our white creatures will be able to trigger.
Another bomb I love for the Mono W deck is Adeline, Resplendent Cathar. This card sitting at four toughness is going to stick against Frost Bite and Moonrager's Slash. On top of that, spawning that army is going to go a long way when we have cards like Intrepid Adversary!
Conclusion
The deck looks poised to bring aggression to the format and so far it feels good to just see aggro being the boogie man of the format. We'll see if control and combo decks are in the works to combat the aggression. Actually, I can safely say there will be one as I've been working on a control deck so see you back here soon.
