Single Scoop: Lorehold Equipments (Standard, Magic Arena)
Gameplan
#MTGAFR brought us some sweet new cards and one of the best cycles is the "class" cards. Lorehold got Fighter Class which seems really powerful for an equipment heavy deck!
With the Fighter Class, we can play a ton of singleton equipment cards to beef up any of our threats to build up a Voltron-esqe creature.
After acquiring any of our artifacts, any single threat we play instantly becomes a must kill target. If Akiri, Fearless Voyager gets equipped then they'll be pretty hard to remove after a certain point with its indestructible ability combined with potential Hexproof from Mirror Shield! Our deck is really quite simple in its plan. Creature gets stick and then attacks an opponent with it. The biggest part will be grabbing the right weapon for the right moment! We've also got additional cards to help on the weapon front thanks to Nahiri, Heir of the Ancients which can help us get around equipment costs by spawning a token and freely equipping!
Conclusion
The deck is definitely very fragile as we're all about putting all of our eggs into one basket so just be careful to play around removal as best you can. There have been a ton of cards that help with equipment that have been printed in this standard but as of right now, it still doesn't feel like it's enough power. It's way too fair and if our opponents play something like a Brazen Borrower we could just be swinging with little vanilla creatures. I think this is an archetype I'll revisit after rotation as Fighter Class is still very strong!
