Fish Five-0: Siphon Tempo! (Standard)
Gameplan
As you know, I've been trying to make Dimir Tempo work in Standard as Poppet Stitcher has been such a cool card since it was spoiled to me. It appears Allenwinden also felt the same way and made a 5-0 in an MTGO league with a Tempo list!
They're also jamming token producers and that brings a smile to my face to see Sedgemoor Witch ! With enough spells, we can assemble an army of 3/3 tokens quickly. The list is a lot more streamlined since it's made for Bo3 as opposed to my Bo1 lists. Another thing that charmed me was seeing Siphon Insight.
This list is exactly the style of deck I've been wanting for in standard and if Siphon Insight is involved, it won't take much to convince me to play it.
Conclusion
Regardless of Bo1 or Bo3, the deck ran into the same issues I had which was its ability to outgrind the midrange decks. If we also fell behind on board, it was impossible to come back in and win. I also wonder if there's room for Ledger Shredder in this list as that seems like a powerhouse for any tempo deck. The deck is still a blast to play, but they'll never be any easy wins as there aren't many "free" match ups. However, if you're a fan of Tempo, this is a fun one!
