Commander Clash S4 Episode 19: Jank Tribal! (Birds vs. Chairs vs. Ladies Looking Left vs. Fungi)
Look at the title, folks. This is going to be good!
Yes, this week is the return of Jank Tribal, where the jankiest deck have arrived to duke it out! How strange that the perfect Richard is actually sans-Richard because he's on vacation! No matter; saving the day is the glorious return of Seth, probably better known as SPBKAS! Let's see what jank brews we've got this time:
- Seth slowly but steadily grows an army of stoppable Fungi with the help of Ghave, Guru of Spores
- Jennifer runs the Art Tribal deck, Ladies Looking Left, led by Jenara, Asura of War
- Tom knows that the word is Bird Tribal this week, soaring to victory with Derevi, Empyrial Tactician
- Tomer sits down with his Chair Tribal deck, with the chairy on top being Oloro, Ageless Ascetic
Here's a good haul of jank to make Richard proud! But which pile of cards will manage to win? Let's find out! And as usual, another quick reminder: if you like Commander Clash and other video content here on MTGGoldfish, make sure to subscribe to the MTGGoldfish Youtube Channel to keep up with the latest and greatest.

Post-Game Thoughts
Very happy with this week's decks. Everyone was slinging sweet jank while still doing (somewhat) powerful things.
I was pleasantly surprised at how functional Chair Tribal ended up being. There's enough powerful cards to choose from, especially in Orzhov, that let you sit back and catch up with the rest of the table. There's two big flaws with the gimmick though: first, no ramp! I could find zero good ramp cards, save for Cultivator's Caravan which is implied to have seats but no visible seating or people sitting so I ruled it out. This means the deck is terribly slow, which while thematically fitting does mean you can be taken out early if people want to do that. Second was a lack of finishers: Rise of the Dark Realms is a great one but outside of that, there ain't much. You have to slowly develop a lethal board over many turns and just hope that nobody stops you, which is simply a losing strategy in Commander. That said though, for a joke deck that everyone expected to be terrible, it actually performed very well!
Next Week: Championship Week!
We've done Revenge Week, where we brought back a deck that lost for a second chance at redemption. Now we're doing the opposite with Championship Week, where we bring back a deck we've won with for a second chance at glory! Which deck will manage a 2-0 score?
