Commander Clash 28: Flipwalkers
Hello and welcome to Commander Clash, a video series where several MTGGoldfish contributors battle in a four player Commander game for fun and bragging rights. This week we're around the "flipwalkers" from Magic Origins: legendary creatures whose sparks ignite once their requirement is met, flipping over to become planeswalkers. Let's see what we've got:
- Seth obviously picks the planeswalker that draws cards, Nissa, Vastwood Seer
- Richard unleashes his inner Vorthos, running every single card that has a connection to Liliana, Heretical Healer
- Jake also follows a Vorthos approach, jamming all the Jace-related cards he can find and milling out the table with Jace, Vryn's Prodigy
- Tomer tries to burn down the table with Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh
We've got a special treat for you folks: instead of watching from my seat as usual, the video follows Seth's perspective! This was definitely on purpose and not because I screwed up my own recording and had to use Seth's backup, no no! Alright, let's get to it! But first, a quick reminder: if you like Commander Clash and other video content here on MTGGoldfish, make sure to subscribe to the MTGGoldfish Youtube Channel to keep up with the latest and greatest.

Post-Game Thoughts
The flipwalker cycle is by far my favorite planeswalker cycle ever printed, both from a mechanical perspective but especially from a Vorthos perspective: we get to see the origins of the most iconic planeswalkers in the game, and the flip activation representing their spark igniting is just perfect! I really hope they bring back the design again with other planeswalkers: Elspeth, Koth, Tamiyo, Garruk, and Sorin maybe?
I'm still kicking myself for not tapping my Sol Ring to pay for Mind's Eye and so I could leave Reverberate open. I could've copied Rise of the Dark Realms and won the game! Argh! Eventually I'll play the perfect game and pull off something sweet. One day...
Next Week: Jake's Farewell!
I have some unfortunate news to share: Jake has decided to bow out from being a regular on Commander Clash. Don't worry though, he'll still be around on the site contributing articles! So for his last Commander Clash with us, we decided to do what I've dubbed "Jake Week": each of us are building a deck that we think epitomizes Jake's deckbuilding and playstyle preferences in Commander. The results should be sweet! Thanks for watching!
