Commander Clash 23: Fate Reforged Khans
Hello and welcome to another Commander Clash, a video series where several MTGGoldfish contributors battle in a four player Commander game for fun and bragging rights. This week, we've built decks around the Khans cycle from Fate Reforged to see which clan is the strongest. Here's what we've got:
- Seth goes gravedigging for value with the help of Tasigur, the Golden Fang
- Richard fetches up weenie creatures to solve board states with Alesha, Who Smiles at Death
- Jake builds around a mystery theme led by Daghatar the Adamant
- Tomer can't make heads or tails of his own deck, championed by Shu Yun, the Silent Tempest
Two of us built decks around their commanders, while the other two went for something more unorthodox. Which strategy will take the cake this time? Let's find out! But first, a quick reminder: if you like Commander Clash and other video content here on MTGGoldfish, make sure to subscribe to the MTGGoldfish Youtube Channel to keep up with the latest and greatest.

Post-Game Thoughts
Some quick notes about the game:
- Turn 1 Bazaar of Baghdad is pretty good in a Graveyard deck.
- Every time someone dominates the game with a Graveyard deck, I talk about how we need to run graveyard hate like Relic of Progenitus, and then promptly forget to do so
- Hats off to Jake for sticking with a very flavorful theme! Shame about no Duneblast though.
- The art direction for Innistrad specifically showcased a lot of hats: "BY HOLY AVACYN ON HIGHTHERE WOULD BE HAAAATS"
- Nobody expects the Vengeful Pharaoh.
- Squee's Revenge is a bad card even if you have Krark's Thumb, but it's hilarious.
- Nobody expects the Swan Song.
- The MTGO Fail Counter remained at 0 the entire game! Praise Worth!
Next Week: Praetor Civil War!
With the Grand Compleation of Mirrodin achieved, the color-based factions of New Phyrexia have turned against each other in a civil war. Which Praetor will emerge victorious to lead all of New Phyrexia in the compleation of the multiverse? Tune in next week to find out! As always, we encourage you to leave us a comment on this article, on YouTube, or on Twitter @BudgetCommander. Your feedback is greatly appreciated, be it thoughts on the game, ideas on how to improve the series, or suggestions for future themes; we read all of them and bring them up in discussions. Thanks for watching!
