Single Scoop: Prismari Giants 2022 (Standard, Magic Arena)
Gameplan
We've got big aspirations this week as I wanted to see if Giants could work post rotation!
When building the deck, it would always move towards the Goldspan Dragon plan but I opted out of that and wanted to stay on theme this week. We're very much a midrange deck that plays one big threat a turn. The nice thing about our deck is that Quakebringer is definitely an efficient way to kill our opponents. The two damage a turn creeps up on people. Another thing sweet about the giant plan is the synergies between Glimpse the Cosmos and Invasion of the Giants. Not only that but we've got a sweeper that plays nicely with our giants!
The sweeper does it all, it clears the way for our giants while also filtering our next draw step. The last chapter is a solid way to filter through our deck and refuel with more giants.
Conclusion
The deck was a lot of fun to pilot but I think Innistrad is going to have to help the tribe out quite a bit as we just felt like a significantly slower version of the Prismari Dragon deck. Control decks destroy us as we often sink our whole turn into playing one bomb and if that bomb gets answered, we've lost a whole turn. The deck is definitely a fun deck but probably nothing more than that unless Innistrad packs a gigantic punch.
