Single Scoop: Grixis Reanimator (Standard, Magic Arena)


First thing, thank you Joshua_Moulder for the recommendation. We now have a title for our best of one series and it will now be called Single Scoop (So flavorful!). Thanks to everyone for participating in helping make this series what it has and will become. Enjoy this week's video everyone <3

Nothing stays dead for too long when it comes to our Reanimator deck this week as we explore #MTGM20 in best of one!

Gameplan

We're not very subtle about things with this deck. We're looking to throw away as many of our big threats as we can into the graveyard and bring them back with Bond of Revival, Blood for Bones, and Connive // Concoct.

What big juicy threats are we to bring back?

These two are the sweet new threats we're looking to bring back but there are plenty of other things like Ilharg, the Raze-Boar

We're going to be using our these three enablers to help us fill up our graveyard..

Not only will these three cards fill up our yard but it will provide us ways to dig for lands as we do run a lower than normal count when it comes to lands. Just be mindful of Narset, Parter of Veils as she severely cuts off our ability to loot.

Conclusion

The deck definitely needs to go off super fast in order to keep up with some aggro decks and that's why I've thrown a Cavalier of Night. Just some kind of cheap threat we can actually use to block and gain life with. I was potentially going to add a Haunt of Hightower for the memes but there are probably better ways to gain life. If you can go off early enough and dodge intense amounts of graveyard hate, this deck can do some absurdly fun and broken things. The deck is very wildcard intensive so I don't recommend this if you're looking to build your first deck but if you've got the wildcards, this deck is too much fun!
