Historic 101: Quandrix Aggro
Gameplan
Historic has a pretty sweet green stompy list but Storm05 made a sweet Quandrix Aggro deck that does all the stompy things we love like Steel Leaf Champion and Rhonas the Indomitable
We're very much so relying on big beefy bodies to clear the way and to get around Lightning Helix to force Jeskai Control decks to have hard removal. Rhonas the Indomitable is just a resilient threat much like the Amonkhet gods as they're indestructible and not many things can efficiently deal with it right now. We're also playing Old-Growth Troll as another beefy beater that also leaves behind a way to ramp or make another 4/4 threat that replaces itself!
Normally these decks you would think that Collected Company is an auto-include but we're trading away the powerful spell for Decisive Denial which will serve as a removal spell or a counterspell for those darn annoying noncreature spells. Of course, we've also got blue for more sideboard stuff like Mystical Dispute and Koma, Cosmos Serpent for the match ups that are going to go long!
Conclusion
The deck felt quite powerful but often got outclassed by decks that could fly over it like Selesnya Angels. We definitely feel like a powerful deck against control as our counterspells bought us the time we needed to close out the game. However, the number of spells were playing by adding blue means no Collected Company and although I do love trying new things, I feel like CoCo is just too strong to not include as it's a sweet way to get us caught up on board at the end an opponent's turn. Still, Decisive Denial definitely has a home in Historic for a stompy deck like this and was a sweet inclusion for those looking to play a different style of stompy.
