Historic 101: Grixis Control

Gameplan
Normally when I play a control deck, I play fewer creatures but Historic Anthology 5 has brought us Kolaghan's Command #268!

With K Command in Historic, I figured what a better way to get value than to return cards like Nicol Bolas, the Ravager #218 or Valki, God of Lies #114! Normally we'd rely on just a bunch of spells but K Command has given me an incentive to play with more creatures. This might end up helping us out a bit more as we can contest the board and get around cards like Dovin's Veto #51 Shadowbringers. However, we're heavier on creatures thus making cards like Narset, Parter of Veils #61 less efficient as it can't grab something like a Bonecrusher Giant #115.
Conclusion
The deck is a more interesting take for my playstyle and K Command is a very sweet card. I do believe that we might've overcompensated for Kolaghan's Command #268 as I think we don't need to add more creatures to get full value from the card. We can definitely still be spell heavy as just returning a Torrential Gearhulk #272 or Nicol Bolas, the Ravager #218 is more than enough. We don't need to add cards like Bonecrusher Giant #115. However, if you wanted to go for a more Grixis midrange then I think we should probably shave more spells and play tap out control or something a lot more like Modern Jund!
