Webcam & New House Bans!

A new season has begun, which means there's big changes to the show! First a general improvement: we're adding webcams to the games so you can watch our reactions to what's happening on screen! Yes, now you can watch all the joy leave my face as Crim exiles my Kaldra pieces. It will be ... something.

Next we're completely overhauling the ban list! We've kept our ban list more or less the same for many seasons now, so we decided to shake things up by completely overhauling the ban list! You can see the new ban list along with explanations at the bottom of this article!

We're kicking off season 10 of Commander Clash by exploring the brand new cards from Kaldheim, starting with the brand new gods from the set! Here's what we've got:

Crim steals his opponents' toys to troll in service of his patron, Valki, God of Lies
Richard voyages to far off lands in search of value with Cosima, God of the Voyage
Seth isn't just playing with one god, but an entire pantheon, summoning God Tribal with the help of Esika, God of the Tree
Tomer takes on the mantle of archenemy, stealing his opponents' permanents and reaping all the salt for Tergrid, God of Fright

New Season House Bans

In addition to the official Commander ban list, we have a collection of house bans. This list changes with each season. For Season 10 we started with a clean slate and banned cards based on three loose criteria:

Cards that were played too much last season.
Cards that regularly caused games to revolve around them.
Cards that are far out of the budget of the average viewer.

With this in mind, here is our new ban list for Season 10:

So this is a major shakeup to our ban list. A lot of Commander Clash staples like Smothering Tithe, Rhystic Study, and Dockside Extortionist are out, and there no longer will be the threat of Notion Thief + Windfalls that dominated conversations.

However, there are some notable unbans: expensive cards like Wheel of Fortune are now allowed (for now). Plus for the first time in a long time, fast mana like Sol Ring is back on the table!

Our house bans are meant to encourage more entertaining games for you, the viewers, so let us know what you think of the new ban list! We'll be following all the feedback from the early episodes to see how you all are enjoying it.
