Sphinx's Revelation #9: Conversion Factors

Welcome back puzzle afiocionados! The theme of this week's article is managing resources. As always, for the solution to last week's puzzle, Whose Destiny, scroll to the bottom.

Your opponent is Lauren. While you were busy assembling a decent board presence, she assembled the Tron lands. To secure her position, she cast Avacyn, Angel of Hope. The follow up play was to cast Platinum Angel as a soft lock. You just started your first main phase. Defeat Lauren before the end of your turn without losing!

Sphinx's Revelation #8: Whose Destiny? Solution

There were several viable solutions to last week's puzzle. I recommend reading through the comments to see them all. Cheers to users jj4th and Almog Dov for seeing solutions with the opponent at 22 life.

  1. Main Phase
  2. Declare Attackers
  3. Declare Blockers and Damage Step
    • Due to Repercussion, regardless of how blocks are assigned the opponent takes the total amount of damage assigned by your creatures which equals 15.
    • We control Repercussion so can layer the triggers on the stack so that the opponent dies before we take damage from any blocks the opponent decides.

Thank you everyone for the fantastic contributions and helping all of us understand these puzzles better.
