Sphinx's Revelation #12: Odd, I See

What's good Magic fans?! The theme of this week's puzzle is the set Odyssey. As always, for the solution to last week's puzzle, All Metal Everything, scroll to the bottom.

Today your opponent is Linsey, who is playing a Mono-White deck armed with protection from Red and Black. You are playing a Red-Black flashback deck which has been struggling up until now. You just started your first main phaseDefeat Linsey before the end of her next turn!

Sphinx's Revelation #11: All Metal Everything

There were several viable solutions to last week's puzzle. I recommend reading through the comments to see them all. There are several viable lines (variations in order, attacking with the remaining creatures, etc), here is the one I had in mind:

  1. Cast Deconstruct targeting Damping Matrix. GGG added to mana pool.
  2. Cast Dross Scorpion for GGGG. Confusion in the Ranks triggers. Target Chalice of the Void
    • Exchange control.
  3. Cast Atog for RR. Confusion in the Ranks triggers. Target Needlebug.
  4. Cast Brown Ouphe for G. Confusion in the Ranks triggers. Target Bosh, Iron Golem.
    • Exchange control.
  5. Cast Krark-Clan Shaman for R. Confusion in the Ranks triggers. Target Clockwork Dragon.
  6. Cast Fists of the Anvil targeting Viridian Joiner for 1R. Resolves. Two colorless mana floating.
  7. Sacrifice Bosh, Iron Golem to do eight damage to the opponent.
  8. Equip Atog with Lightning Greaves. Attack with Atog. Before damage, sacrifice Lightning Greaves, Tree of Tales, and Great Furnace to Atog. Atog deals nine damage to the opponent.

Thank you everyone for the fantastic contributions and helping all of us understand these puzzles better.
