Deconstructed: Stronghold

Fletcher here and welcome back to Deconstructed, a retro set review, where we take a look back at Magic the Gathering history through the lens of a single constructed set. Today, in our fifth episode, we will be looking at the next set release in the Tempest block, Stronghold. While not having a major impact on the metagame with its release in March of 1998. Stronghold features many important cards that are now staples for decks in the Legacy, Modern, Pauper and Commander formats. So sit down and relax as we crack open this set to learn more about the history and story that surrounds the creation of Magic's 13th expansion, Stronghold.

What is your favorite card from Stronghold? How are these cards still being used in formats today? If you enjoy this series, let me know on Twitter @FunkDeLaFletch and leave your comments below.
