Single Scoop: Jund's Shadow (Historic, Magic Arena)
Game plan
Pain is the name of the game as that helps us get a giant Death's Shadow and other creatures like it!
Both of these cards reward us for lowering our own health, and thanks to the Historic Anthology, we've got a sweet newish threat in Tarmogoyf and Temur Battle Rage !
With how easy it is to get Ferocious and a big beater, oftentimes we can just one-shot somebody with a Death's Shadow or Scourge but when that plan isn't going well, we do have the basic midrange game plan in Tarmogoyf! It also helps that all of our threats line up with Lurrus's companionship requirements so we can reoccur all these cards. I kind of forgot Lurrus wasn't banned but that's a whole different topic.
Conclusion
The deck is fun and benefits from how aggressive the ladder can be in Bo1. Because of the aggression, we can get to a low health total naturally without spending too much of our resources, so you'll have to gauge the situation. The deck does lack consistency, however. This is mostly because the mana base doesn't have Fetch lands. In some games you just get color screwed, but hopefully, you just get lucky. Outside of that, the deck can really win out of nowhere so take it for a spin!
