Any and every two card synergy is pretty much Splinter Twin + Deceiver Exarch right? Well, probably not, but for the sake of this video, it sure is! This deck and combo has recently been seeing some success courtesy of players like Kanister and was quite popular in Pioneer. So popular that the combo was separated courtesy of a banning.

The combo relies on Inverter of Truth eating our entire deck and then playing either Thassa's Oracle or Jace, Wielder of Mysteries to win on the spot. The list we pilot today is a list that's been pretty popular online. Most of the deck looks like an Ad Nauseam deck because it pretty much is. We've got the Angel's Grace, Spoils of the Vault, and Phyrexian Unlife package. Our whole deck is really making sure we're able to force our combo through which is why we have cards like Veil of Summer and Teferi, Time Raveler. This is what leads us to four colors. The fourth color is really just a splash for Veil.

Another perk of this deck being in Modern is having access to Shelldock Isle. It may not seem like much but this allows us to get around cards like Surgical Extraction while securing one of our blue win conditions in Thassa's Oracle or Jace. All we need to do is just find an Inverter of Truth! This card does open us up to cards like Field of Ruin, but let's just hope we don't run into that!

Conclusion

The combo actually seems to have legs in this format. We only had one loss and it was a close game. The deck is very focused and isn't trying to win outside of its Inverter package so we really need to be ready for Surgical Extraction effects. Other than that, the deck feels great to play right now. If you're looking for a combo deck, I highly recommend this deck! It was a blast to play and totally feels right at home in Modern.
