So this is roughly a list I trophied with, a few months back a few months ago on MTGO. I'm not sure how it'll perform in Explorer but there is definitely a Grixis Midrange deck that is actually different from Rakdos Midrange! When I built the list a few months back, I essentially wanted to play the way Jund played in modern a while back and this deck does that by just playing solid creatures and threats like our Planeswalkers. The nice thing about Kalitas is that we now have a way to main deck lifegain to help us combat Red Deck. Not only is it good against RDW, it's also great against Phoenix and any deck with creatures as a single removal spell can lead to us overrunning the table!

Conclusion

Kalitas is here to stay and was a big part of what our Midrange deck needed. Expect to see him in any black based deck moving forward! On top of that, its so nice to play Grixis in Explorer and have it actually be viable. I don't think this build is correct because its a different meta game but there's definitely something here! And before anybody asks, yes, I know I love my singletons and that may not be to your playstyle so feel free to just double up on whatever spells you liked. Kotose was one I liked in Pioneer but might not be worth while anymore.

Thanks for watching the content.
