Commander Clash S5 E6: 1 Ticket EDH (Arcanis vs. Karador vs. Selvala vs. Tetsuko)
Welcome back to Commander Clash! This week we're doing something called 1 Ticket EDH: all our decks have a budget cap of 1 Event Ticket (Tix), the online currency of Magic Online, which is equivalent to $1 US. Because of this extreme budget restriction, most of our cards are going to be 0.01 or 0.02 tickets, but we can splurge for a few more expensive cards since basic lands are essentially free online (0.00). Keep in mind we locked in the deck's budget when we recorded and prices are bound to change by the time you view them. Here's what we've got:
- Richard sneaks under would-be blockers with small evasive creatures led by Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive
- Seth does exactly the same thing each time so I don't know why I bother writing a description anymore, with Arcanis the Omnipotent
- Tomer plays a "Group Hug" kinda Elf/Druid Tribal deck looking to draw cards for everyone with Selvala, Explorer Returned
- Vincent out-values the table with a grindy goodstuff Graveyard deck led by Karador, Ghost Chieftain

Post-Game Thoughts
Quick thoughts:
- Always bring graveyard hate.
- Autumn's Veil is a good card when you read it.
- Fatespinner is the worst.
Selvala, Explorer Returned was one of my strongest budget brews a while back so I was a bit disappointed how it performed this time. The budget wasn't ideal for a deck that wants specific cards, but mostly it was the fact that I drew the wrong cards at the wrong time that did me in. For a deck with so many mana dorks, I saw little/none early game and drew my payoff cards instead, leading to an uncharacteristically slow start. Then as the game went long, since I started with my payoff cards early, instead I was topdecking my mana dorks that were essential early but useless late. Oof. Bad beats.
