Theme: Trueheart Duelist can block an additional creature, so let's get the most use out of him by beefing it up with auras and pumps, then summon a heavy hitter to finish off your opponent.
1) Weapons
- Trueheart Duelist: The center of this deck. He can block up to two creatures, and he can come back from the dead through embalming, so really you have eight copies in this deck.
- Sram, Senior Edificer: Señor Sram is a cheap dwarf that will net you extra cards for each aura played.
- Aerial Responder: The true opposite of Vampire Nighthawk, and it is no slouch. Cheap, lots of key words, and a nice 2/3 body.
- Scaled Behemoth: It's hexproof ability will keep it on the field longer than usual.
- Emeria Shepherd: Honestly, it's my own personal taste that I added this card to the deck, but it's always nice to be able to return dead cards to the battlefield, or return to cast auras from your hand again.
2) Auras
- Angelic Gift: Cheap, enables Trueheart Duelist to block fliers, and draws a card.
- Faith Unbroken: It costs a hefty four mana, but it does exile a creature, and gives a nice +2/+2 pump.
- Iona's Blessing: A big pump, a needed vigilance, and block another creature!
- Sigarda's Aid: Another personal touch that I added, but being able to flash in aura's can be a great ability.
3) Utility
- Blossoming Defense: Pump and save your duelist for only a green mana.
- Nature's Way: Take out your opponent's creatures without direct confrontation.
- Rabid Bite: Same as above.
- Dusk//Dawn: While you are pumping up your small guys, your opponent may be dropping big ones later in the game. Destroy them with Dusk, then return your small guys with Dawn.
- Heroic Intervention: Or, save your pumped up creatures with this card, then wipe the board.
4) Considerations
- When I thin of them.
