Description

For those whose play style is "Go Big or Go Home", here's a budget deck that doesn't just go big-- it just keeps growing! Use Llanowar Elves and Elvish Mystic to churn out extra mana, allowing you to summon your huge Gigantosaurus and Gargos sooner than your opponents expect. Hydra's Growth adds to the fun by steadily piling +1/+1 counters on the creature of your choice.

There are more rare cards in this list than in the other lists, but don't let that dissuade you. Once you start steamrolling over your opponents with an array of imposing beasts, you'll find the rare cards are well worth the investment!

This list is meant as a guide, not a fixed set of cards that you have to follow to the letter. Have a look at these other suggested cards, and feel free to swap these in, as well as add any of your own cards that suit your play style. Bear in mind that some of these may blow out the deck's price to above $50 USD. Also, if you add more cards with a mana cost of 4 or higher, you need to increase the land count to 24:

Aggressive Mammoth
Arborback Stomper
Battering Krasis
Biogenic Ooze
Castle Garenbrig
Destiny Spinner
Druid of the Cowl
Gilded Goose
Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma
Kraul Harpooner
Lovestruck Beast
Outmuscle
Path of Discovery
Pelt Collector
Prowling Serpopard
Naturalize
Nylea, Keen-Eyed
Oran-Rief Hydra
Paradise Druid
Renata, Called to the Hunt
Return to Nature
Ripjaw Raptor
Shifting Ceratops
Snapping Sailback
Song of Freyalise
Sylvan Awakening
Syr Faren, the Hengehammer
Terra Stomper
Thrashing Brontodon
Veil of Summer
Verdant Sun's Avatar
Yorvo, Lord of Garenbrig

These cards are usually priced on the higher end of a casual player's budget ($5 or more per card), but they provide fantastic value:

Carnage Tyrant
Dryad of the Ilysian Grove
God-Eternal Rhonas
Kalonian Hydra
Managorger Hydra
Nissa, Who Shakes the World
Nylea, God of the Hunt
Nyxbloom Ancient
Rhonas the Indomitable

Whether or not to invest extra money in the pricier cards is up to you. You'll find that the initial, budget-friendly list is already quite powerful and consistent in a casual playgroup.

When making your selections, make sure you don't totally fill the deck with cards that cost 3 mana or more. Although it's tempting to have a deck that's stacked with big, imposing threats, you leave yourself in a vulnerable position if you don't manage to present a threat in your early turns. Also make sure to maintain a set of mana-producing creatures so that you can "cheat" out your high-mana stompy creatures in less time.
