This week in the world of Magic finance, the big news is people upgrading and building Lost Caverns of Ixalan-based Commander decks. The biggest gainer of the week was Trapjaw Tyrant which nearly doubled in price to $25. Just a month ago it was around $6. The mythic is one of the Dinosaurs that managed to dodge a reprinting in Lost Caverns of Ixalan and seems to be a popular addition to various Dinosaur Commander decks. Other Dinosaurs like [[Polyraptor] ()up 31% to $35) and Silverclad Ferocidons (planeswalker stamp) (up 24% to $6) are creeping up as well. All and all it seems like Dinosaurs in general are the biggest winners from Lost Caverns of Ixalan. 

Meanwhile in Modern, it seems like the holiday edition of Lord of the Rings is having some impact on prices with cards like The One Ring (bundle) and Orcish Bowmasters dropping a few% this week. While reprinting chase cards so quickly has been controversial, it does seem to be making these cards more accessible, which is a good thing.

Finally, keep an eye on Cats over the next couple of weeks. If you look at Lost Caverns of Ixalan itself, three cards jumped more than 100% this week and two are Cats in Kutzil's Flanker and Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar (showcase). In Commander Cats have a bit of a cult following, being way more popular than you'd expect considering their low power level. With Sovereign Okinec Ahau giving them a new commander, it wouldn't be a surprise to see some older Cats start to tick up as players once again start putting together and updating their Commander Cat decks.
