Standard Rotation Changes: Once-A-Year Rotation Returns

Wizards of the Coast announced today that Standard will be returning to a once-a-year rotation schedule effective immediately. Wizards had previously changed to a twice-a-year rotation, and this change undoes that. What this means in practice is: Battle for Zendikar and Oath of the Gatewatch will not rotate at Amonkhet release, but instead will rotate with the release of the block after Amonkhet, code-named "Ham." Shadows over Innistrad and Eldritch Moon will also rotate at that same time.

Standard Rotation

Kaladesh will remain Standard-legal for two years. The motivation behind these changes is to create less churn for players who drop in and out of Standard. Wizards tried something new, listened to feedback, and reverted the changes. Maybe there's still hope for Magic Online:

Single Scoop: You Don't Need to Build Around Ugin At All

Ugin might read like in a way to where you'd load your deck up with a bunch of random colorless spells but Ugin might just be good on his own! This Golgari Ramp shell will test that.
