Gameplan

Vehicles haven't been a thing since Kaladesh and a ton of vehicles that have come out since then have been pretty bad for the most part. Outside of a few one-offs like Esika's Chariot, there hasn't been a dedicated vehicles deck in some time. Kamigawa changes all of that as we've got a ton of enablers and sweet new "pilot" creatures like Hotshot Mechanic and Born to Drive.

All of these cheap Pilots allow for us to rev our engines and get to the good stuff as the set is packed with really powerful and cheap vehicles.

All of the vehicles from this set have been amazing so far. Mobilizer Mech is a big addition as it helps us turn on cards like Colossal Plow and any of our other vehicles. Combine that with the value from Reckoner Bankbuster and Prodigy's Prototype, we're able to keep grinding and keeping up our vehicle pressure. Thanks to Prototype leaving behind a bunch of Pilots, we're not hurting as much if somebody uses spot removal on a few of our prior pilots. Another sweet addition is Surgehacker Mech as the deck runs very little removal so it feels good to have removal attached to a beefy mech!

Two planeswalkers from #MTGNeon also slot into the deck! Tezzeret gives us a much-needed way to filter through our deck and turn our dead draws into something useful with that +1. Not only that, the -2 can turn any artifacts laying around into a 4/4 to help crew or do more of a beatdown. The Wandering Emperor gives us much-needed interaction while also fulfilling the aggressive role. Both of these planeswalkers are a lot better than I thought so don't sleep on them!

Conclusion

Vehicles haven't been this good in awhile and this time around, they're way more fun! We probably get bodied by Prismari Command and Farewell but hopefully we can go wide enough or just be aggressive enough to not worry about that. If we were to move this deck to Best of 3, I'd look into Disruption Protocol. I know this is week 1 so my list isn't refined but I think Awakened Awareness could also be worth taking a look at.

Thanks for watching the content.
