Gameplan

The plan is to burn everything! Thanks to Mystical Archives and Historic Anthology 5, we've got some solid new burn spells.

$ 0.00 $ 0.00 $ 0.00 $ 0.00

We're all in on the burn plan by flinging spells at our opponent's face! We're going to be a bit greedy on the mana base but we're hoping to fling Lightning Helix, Atarka's Command and a ton of other direct damage spells to the opponents face until their health hits zero. Of course, we need to stop lifegain so we added a little extra help in Roiling Vortex

Conclusion

The deck definitely suffered from being three colors as our manabase is nowhere near the modern burn mana base. I think something the deck sorely needed was Skewer the Critics as that could allow for a fiery hot turn. If I were to redo this deck, I would just go Gruul burn as we don't have anything like Boros Charm to warrant the white. There's also a discussion to add copies of Torbran, Thane of Red Fell to keep all of our spells spicy. However, the cost of four is why I didn't add it but it could be worth a few copies. So for burn players out there, this deck wasn't exactly what we needed it to be but we're getting close. Back to the drawing board I go!
