Single Scoop: Hot Hot Heat (Standard)
Gameplan
As the old saying goes, "Face is the place" and that's exactly what we're going to try to do with our deck today. We're going to play some honest magic and fling burn spells in hopes of our opponent's health hitting zero.
According to the rule book, if an opponent has no more health, they're usually dead so we're trying to expedite that with cards like Thermo-Alchemist & Kessig Flamebreather. These two cards contribute to a chunk of the additional damage so if an opening hand has one of these two drops, you're probably in a good way. Of course, we've got some other cards to get additional damage in like Cemetery Gatekeeper. Otherwise, we're all instants and sorcery spells. Most of the time, we're aiming our damage upstairs and hoping its faster than whatever is going on from our opponent's side of the board.
Conclusion
The deck isn't by any means a tier 1 deck but often times you can steal games from burn. The best part is our deck doesn't care too much about a board wipe heavy deck as we're mostly spells. I do think that I might need to up the spell count as sometimes it just feels like we run out of gas. Maybe we can try March of Reckless Joy as a way to emulate Light Up the Stage?
