Single Scoop: Greasy Gaming (Standard)
Gameplan
We're hoping to grind the ladder out with the Greasefang, Okiba Boss and sweet vehicles.
Greasefang isn't nearly as powerful in Standard as he is in older formats but thankfully to ahoahoidea's list, a new card was brought to light for me. Fleeting Spirit. This could be exactly the card Greasefang needs as discarding a card allows it to come back at the next end step. This makes it pretty hard to remove and furthers our own game plan. On top of that, the deck does run all of the good stuff cards in Abzan like Wrenn and Seven, The Wandering Emperor, and Vanishing Verse so you're able to control the board and shift gears to be the aggressor whenever needed!
Conclusion
The deck plays a lot better than it looks and is an actual midrange deck in best of one. It's cool to find an honest midrange in the year 2022 in best of one. On top of that, when was the last time we saw Abzan? Either way, take the deck for a spin. It's pretty fun if you're in for a grindy game!
