Scoops, the Greatest Fish in the Multiverse — MTGGoldfish Tokens
Introducing Scoops, the Greatest Fish in the Multiverse.
Throughout the ages, there have been stories of a mysterious fish appearing throughout the multiverse. Today we’ll chronicle what is known of this mysterious little fish. Is he a Phyrexian spy? Ancestor of the powerful Eldrazi? Maybe he’s Jace’s childhood pet. Or perhaps, he's just inexplicably present on every plane, like Angels and Dragons. No one knows.
Cannon Fodder
Scoops was first seen alongside the infamous Krenko, Mob Boss and Siege-Gang Commander. How he managed to trick the Goblins into thinking he was one of their own was unknown, but it was said that he was pivotal in the war against the Elves. He served as lieutenant in the Goblin army, until one day, he inexplicably disappeared—TWO DAMAGE TO THE FACE!
Fish Phalanx
The next appearance of Scoops was on the plane of Theros, fighting alongside the heroic Elspeth, Sun's Champion. Unfortunately, Elspeth was felled, and as everyone knows, a good little fish follows his commander to the end, even to death.
The Swimming Dead
But fear not, the black mage Liliana, the Last Hope has other plans for our little friend. Resurrected with double the power and toughness, the most fearsome (and smelly) minion is the fish Zombie. Move aside Gurmag Angler, there can only be one zombie fish at Liliana’s side. Our friend seems to have lost his eye; remember to only add one counter to your Jar of Eyeballs.
Flying Fish
And we come to today, where Scoops has been spotted soaring the skies of Kaladesh. He seems to have been restored to his “market fresh” state. Does aether have restorative properties? We’ll have to notify the Consulate. Now where did this thopter contraption come from? Is Scoops a mechanical genius? Did he attend a Kaladesh pre-release? Perhaps he just stole it off Kiran Nalaar’s dead 0/0 body. (Too soon?)
Jank Extraordinaire
There have been rumors that Scoops has been in contact with the infamous jank planeswalker, only known by the alias of ProbablyBetterKnownAsSaffronOlive. It appears he was caught and branded, but witnesses say, he’s a slippery fish.
