Much Abrew: Sephiroth Aristocrats (Standard)

Hello everyone, and welcome to another edition of Much Abrew About Nothing! Today, we're heading to Standard to play a deck that I've been wanting to build ever since Final Fantasy spoiler season but that simply didn't work in the pre-ban Standard meta: Sephiroth Aristocrats! Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER is a wild card and on the short list of best Blood Artist of all time. Today, we're finally going to get a chance to embrace its power in a deck designed to maximize the number of death triggers it can generate. I tried building this deck a few weeks ago right after Final Fantasy was released and, it simply wouldn't work in the old pre-ban meta. This was mostly thanks to all of the trample in the format, which invalidated our biggest line of defense: blocking with janky sac fodder creatures while we build up a board of Blood Artists to win the game. But now that blocking is unbanned in Standard, it just might be time for Sephiroth Aristocrats to shine in the format! What does post-ban Standard look like? How good is an Aristocrats deck led by Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER? Let's get to the games and find out!
