Meme or Dream? "Hmm, I've Got One of Every God So...World Tree?" (Historic)

As you probably know Wizards publishes decklists from Magic Arena weekly. To qualify for publication, a deck needs to win at least six matches in a row at platinum rank or better. This sounds simple on its face, but some incredibly janky lists end up being posted every time lists are published. This has led to speculation that a bug in the system allows decks that didn't actually win six matches in a row to be published or, for the most tin-foil-hatted crowd, the idea that Wizards just publishes whatever it wants, to make the metagame look more diverse than it really is. As a result we created Meme or Dream? to put these lists to the test. Is it possibly some of the janky-looking lists might actually be functional and fun, making them a dream, or are they just as weird as they look on paper, pushing them to meme status?

Today we've got one of the jankier looking decks I've seen in a while. It seems pretty clear that the decks main goal is to get up to 11 mana, activate The World Tree and put a game winning amount of Gods onto the battlefield, which is pretty sweet. The problem is that just about everything else about the list is incredibly weird. Despite the fact that we're trying to get to 11 mana the deck plays just 22 lands with more than half of them being basics despite the fact we're five colors. Most of the cards in the list are one-ofs and my favorite part of the list is that you know whoever built it must have lost to some fringe archetypes in the past because we have some hilarious hate cards in the main deck like a single Tainted Remedy incase we run into lifegain, Gaea's Blessing if our opponent is trying to mill us out and Blightbeetle for Hardened Scales I guess.

The good news is that Platinum-Mythic Ranked Player seems to be taking our advice to some extent, because we've got an almost full sideboard, which is a rarity for Meme or Dream? decks. One thing I always preach is that if you are going to play best of three throwing 15 random cards into your sideboard is better than having no sideboard, and it seems that Platinaum-Mythic Ranked player decided to take this advice to heart. While the card in the sideboard are super random (why are we playing a random Elf lord?!?!?) they did manage to get 14 cards in the sideboard, which is still one short, but a lot better than some of the sideboardless decks we've played in the past.

Is it actually possible to use The World Tree to dump a million one-of Gods onto the battlefield? Is the original list a Meme or a Dream? What if we rebuild it to try to maximize our odds of pulling off The World Tree combo? Let's jump into some games and find out on today's Meme or Dream?
