I Triple, Triple, Triple, ... My Tokens | Brewer's Kitchen


Well, hello there! Brewer’s Kitchen here and today we’re going to create more tokens than there are particles in the universe… If Arena’s token limit wouldn’t stop us.

The Gameplan

The plan is simple: Double, triple, and triple double our tokens. Mondrak, Glory Dominus and Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation both put a multiplier on our token production. Too bad they are legendary so we can only have one of each at a time…

Oh my, what is that? Irenicus's Vile Duplication not only creates token copies of a creature, but also removes their legendary subtype. Once we copy one of our token multipliers with this, their effects stack up to a point where any instance of token production will pretty much win us the game.

Since it’s unsurprisingly hard to untap with a do-nothing six-drop, target it with a spell, and then finally start doing things, we’re running a lot of cards that immediately get value out of these cards once they hit the board.

Skyknight Vanguard and Legion Warboss both create attacking tokens in our attack step. Once we start stacking up multipliers, a single trigger of these creatures can end the game on the spot.

Fable of the Mirror-Breaker is a great card in general, but I’ve never seen it synergize with a deck more than this one. Not only can it create countless Goblin Sharman token, this token can also create countless treasure tokens. And if we ever get to untap with Reflection of Kiki-Jiki, we can start copying the non-legendary copies of our doublers. Once we do this, we will quickly escalate the multiplier to an astronomical number. Arena will cap the tokens at 250, otherwise we would run into a board state where every instance of token production would create more tokens than there are particles in the universe.

And while we’re overkilling our opponent, Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer will not only create a lot of Myr tokens, but also turn them all into our non-legendary token copies of Mondrak and Ojer Taq.

All of this is pretty hard to pull off against an opponent that tries to kill us. We play a bunch of cheap removal slow down aggro opponents and try to stay alive to pull off our shenanigans. Luckily, cards like Skyknight Vanguard, Legion Warboss, Fable of the Mirror-Breaker and The Restoration of Eiganjo are pretty decent at winning games by themselves, giving us a reasonable gameplan against opponents that have removal or counters for our combo pieces.

Against go-wide decks, we usually just try to go wider. We technically play a copy of Burn Down the House but in practice, I cast it to create Devils about 75% of the time.


Wrap up

This deck is very good at overkilling opponents and breaking Arena. Sadly, it also suffers from Historic being a very powerful format. If we don’t have the interaction to deal with an opposing combo, they are most likely go off a turn or two before we do. That being said, you can’t win them all and the games that you win with this deck are absolutely absurd.
