Historic 101: Grixis Midrange
Gameplan
I played a good ton of Goblin Dark-Dwellers in standard and in modern so naturally, I would take it to Historic. The card has led to a ton of shenanigans with cards like Boom // Bust and Kolaghan's Command. Fortunately, one of those two spells is in historic!
The ability to cast any spell with a mana value of 3 or less is huge as there's already a surplus of spells running around in Historic. We're hoping to take advantage of Kolaghan's Command, Prismari Command, and all of our discard spells. There's also a list by AliEldrazi which seems interesting as his plays See the Truth which seems sweet! Ali's list is also why Sudden Edict is on my map! That card seems super sweet. Outside of the spell suite, we are playing a very midrange batch of win conditions.
Conclusion
The deck felt very Jund-ish and was a lot of fun ripping people's hands apart and playing Bolas. Dark Dwellers is a card I'm going to try in other decks to scratch that Boom // Bust itch. However, the card seems great as top end for any midrange deck. This may be the best way to go about playing Grixis moving forward. I also think we could benefit from a few Soul-Guide Lanterns added to the sideboard. Anywho, I'll probably play more of this on stream soon!
