Edge of Eternities Instant-Speed Tricks

This is a list of all the instant-speed tricks in Edge of Eternities. Each color is sorted by converted mana cost.

• There are only two instant-speed creatures, both 1/1's and in Blue: Illvoi Galeblade at Common, and Desculpting Blast at Uncommon (if it targets a tapped creature).
• White, Blue, and Black each have two instant-speed removal spells at Common, while Red and Green have one each.
  • White: Focus Fire, Radiant Strike (both can only target creatures involved in combat or tapped creatures, a restriction that also applies to the Uncommon Reroute Systems, so Emergency Eject at Uncommon is White's only instant-speed removal spell that can target an untapped creature not involved in combat)
  • Blue: Lost in Space, Mental Modulation
  • Black: Depressurize, Gravkill
  • Red: Bombard (and Drill Too Deep if your opponent has a Spacecraft or other relevant artifact)
  • Green: Diplomatic Relations
• Every color except red has an instant that can protect a creature: White has Reroute Systems, Blue has Illvoi Light Jammer (plus Desculpting Blast, which can also bounce your own creature), Black has Dark Endurance, and Green has Biosynthic Burst. Each of these is a two-mana Common except Reroute Systems which is a one-mana Uncommon.
• Special Guest cards are not included since they only occur in one out of every 56 play boosters.

		Dual-Sun Technique		Instant	Target creature you control gains double strike until end of turn. If it has a +1/+1 counter on it, draw a card.
		Zealous Display		Instant	Creatures you control get +2/+0 until end of turn. If it's not your turn, untap those creatures.
		Emergency Eject		Instant	Destroy target nonland permanent. Its controller creates a Lander token. (It's an artifact with "{2}, {T}, Sacrifice this token: Search your library for a basic land card, put it onto the battlefield tapped, then shuffle.")
		Radiant Strike		Instant	Destroy target artifact or tapped creature. You gain 3 life.

		Annul		Instant	Counter target artifact or enchantment spell.
		Divert Disaster		Instant	Counter target spell unless its controller pays {2}. If they do, you create a Lander token. (It's an artifact with "{2}, {T}, Sacrifice this token: Search your library for a basic land card, put it onto the battlefield tapped, then shuffle.")
		Illvoi Light Jammer		Artifact	Flash When this Equipment enters, attach it to target creature you control. That creature gains hexproof until end of turn. (It can't be the target of spells or abilities your opponents control.) Equipped creature gets +1/+2. Equip {3}
		Desculpting Blast		Instant	Return target nonland permanent to its owner's hand. If it was attacking, create a 1/1 colorless Drone artifact creature token with flying and "This token can block only creatures with flying."
	/	Consult the Star Charts		Instant	Kicker {1}{U} (You may pay an additional {1}{U} as you cast this spell.) Look at the top X cards of your library, where X is the number of lands you control. Put one of those cards into your hand. If this spell was kicked, put two of those cards into your hand instead. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order.
		Unravel		Instant	Counter target spell. If the amount of mana spent to cast that spell was less than its mana value, you draw a card.
		Lost in Space		Instant	Target artifact or creature's owner puts it on their choice of the top or bottom of their library. Surveil 1. (Look at the top card of your library. You may put it into your graveyard.)
		Scour for Scrap		Instant	Choose one or both — • Search your library for an artifact card, reveal it, put it into your hand, then shuffle. • Return target artifact card from your graveyard to your hand.
		Cerebral Download		Instant	Surveil X, where X is the number of artifacts you control. Then draw three cards. (To surveil X, look at the top X cards of your library, then put any number of them into your graveyard and the rest on top of your library in any order.)
Black	/	Dark Endurance		Instant	This spell costs {1} less to cast if it targets a blocking creature. Target creature gets +2/+0 and gains indestructible until end of turn. (Damage and effects that say "destroy" don't destroy it.)
		Depressurize		Instant	Target creature gets -3/-0 until end of turn. Then if that creature's power is 0 or less, destroy it.
		Dubious Delicacy		Artifact	Flash When this artifact enters, up to one target creature gets -3/-3 until end of turn. {2}, {T}, Sacrifice this artifact: You gain 3 life. {2}, {T}, Sacrifice this artifact: Target opponent loses 3 life.
		Archenemy's Charm		Instant	Choose one — • Exile target creature or planeswalker. • Return one or two target creature and/or planeswalker cards from your graveyard to your hand. • Put two +1/+1 counters on target creature you control. It gains lifelink until end of turn.
		Gravkill		Instant	Exile target creature or Spacecraft.
Red		Full Bore		Instant	Target creature you control gets +3/+2 until end of turn. If that creature was cast for its warp cost, it also gains trample and haste until end of turn.
		Drill Too Deep		Instant	Choose one — • Put five charge counters on target Spacecraft or Planet you control. • Destroy target artifact.
		Rig for War		Instant	Target creature gets +3/+0 and gains first strike and reach until end of turn.
		Invasive Maneuvers		Instant	Invasive Maneuvers deals 3 damage to target creature. It deals 5 damage instead if you control a Spacecraft.
		Bombard		Instant	Bombard deals 4 damage to target creature.
		Cut Propulsion		Instant	Target creature deals damage to itself equal to its power. If that creature has flying, it deals twice that much damage to itself instead.
		Lithobraking		Instant	Create a Lander token. Then you may sacrifice an artifact. When you do, Lithobraking deals 2 damage to each creature. (A Lander token is an artifact with "{2}, {T}, Sacrifice this token: Search your library for a basic land card, put it onto the battlefield tapped, then shuffle.")
Green		Biosynthic Burst		Instant	Put a +1/+1 counter on target creature you control. It gains reach, trample, and indestructible until end of turn. Untap it. (Damage and effects that say "destroy" don't destroy it.)
		Close Encounter		Instant	As an additional cost to cast this spell, choose a creature you control or a warped creature card you own in exile. Close Encounter deals damage equal to the power of the chosen creature or card to target creature.
		Seedship Impact		Instant	Destroy target artifact or enchantment. If its mana value was 2 or less, create a Lander token. (It's an artifact with "{2}, {T}, Sacrifice this token: Search your library for a basic land card, put it onto the battlefield tapped, then shuffle.")
		Diplomatic Relations		Instant	Target creature you control gets +1/+0 and gains vigilance until end of turn. It deals damage equal to its power to target creature an opponent controls.
