Dominaria United Removal List

This is a list of all the removal in Dominaria United, divided into permanent creature removal, temporary creature removal (such as bounce, tap, and falter effects), non-creature removal, and off-battlefield removal (hand, stack, and graveyard).

Notes:

Kicker costs are listed only when they are required for a spell to function as removal of a particular category, e.g., in the Permanent Creature Removal section Rona's Vortex's mana cost is U+2B, In Thrall to the Pit's is 3R+2B, and Tear Asunder's is 1G+1B, even though they are each listed without their kicker cost in other categories.
Braids, Arisen Nightmare and Braids's Frightful Return aren't listed in any category since there is an alternative to sacrificing a permanent.
The Phasing of Zhalfir is also listed in Temporary Creature Removal because it can be used to phase out an opponent's threat that needs to be neutralized immediately, even though the phasing ability will normally be used to save your own creatures from being destroyed by the final chapter of the Saga.
Anointed Peacekeeper is not listed as Off-Battlefield Removal because it is relatively situational and since you can often afford to pay the extra two mana in Limited. However, Vodalian Hexcatcher is listed in that category because it can be cast at instant speed and can counter a spell if your opponent doesn't have an extra mana open.
As usual, I'm not listing Planeswalker removal. There are only four Planeswalkers in the set, all at Mythic, so it will rarely come up in Limited.

		Artillery Blast	Instant	Domain—Artillery Blast deals X damage to target tapped creature, where X is 1 plus the number of basic land types among lands you control.
		Destroy Evil	Instant	Choose one— • Destroy target creature with toughness 4 or greater. • Destroy target enchantment.
		Citizen's Arrest	Enchantment	When Citizen's Arrest enters the battlefield, exile target creature or planeswalker an opponent controls until Citizen's Arrest leaves the battlefield.
		Temporary Lockdown	Enchantment	When Temporary Lockdown enters the battlefield, exile each nonland permanent with mana value 2 or less until Temporary Lockdown leaves the battlefield.
		Prayer of Binding	Enchantment	Flash When Prayer of Binding enters the battlefield, exile up to one target nonland permanent an opponent controls until Prayer of Binding leaves the battlefield. You gain 2 life.
Blue		Vodalian Mindsinger	Creature	Kicker {1}{R} and/or {1}{G} Vodalian Mindsinger enters the battlefield with two +1/+1 counters on it for each time it was kicked. When Vodalian Mindsinger enters the battlefield, gain control of target creature with power less than Vodalian Mindsinger's power for as long as you control Vodalian Mindsinger.	2/2
Blue		The Phasing of Zhalfir	Enchantment	Read ahead (Choose a chapter and start with that many lore counters. Add one after your draw step. Skipped chapters don't trigger. Sacrifice after III.) 		Choking Miasma	Sorcery	Kicker {G} (You may pay an additional {G} as you cast this spell.) If this spell was kicked, put a +1/+1 counter on a creature you control. All creatures get -2/-2 until end of turn.
		Liliana of the Veil	Planeswalker	+1: Each player discards a card. −2: Target player sacrifices a creature. −6: Separate all permanents target player controls into two piles. That player sacrifices all permanents in the pile of their choice.
		Extinguish the Light	Instant	Destroy target creature or planeswalker. If its mana value was 3 or less, you gain 3 life.
		Drag to the Bottom	Sorcery	Domain — Each creature gets -X/-X until end of turn, where X is 1 plus the number of basic land types among lands you control.
Red		Flowstone Infusion	Instant	Target creature gets +2/-2 until end of turn.
		Lightning Strike	Instant	Lightning Strike deals 3 damage to any target.
		Smash to Dust	Sorcery	Choose one — • Destroy target artifact. • Destroy target creature with defender. • Smash to Dust deals 1 damage to each creature your opponents control.
		Fires of Victory	Instant	Kicker {2}{U} (You may pay an additional {2}{U} as you cast this spell.) If this spell was kicked, draw a card. Fires of Victory deals damage to target creature or planeswalker equal to the number of cards in your hand.
		Yotia Declares War	Enchantment	Read ahead (Choose a chapter and start with that many lore counters. Add one after your draw step. Skipped chapters don't trigger. Sacrifice after III.) I — Create a 0/2 colorless Thopter artifact creature token with flying named Ornithopter. II — Tap any number of untapped artifacts you control. When you do, Yotia Declares War deals that much damage to target creature or planeswalker. III — Up to one target artifact you control becomes an artifact creature with base power and toughness 4/4 until end of turn.

This effect reduces only the amount of red mana you pay. Whenever you cast a red permanent spell, Defiler of Instinct deals 1 damage to any target.	4/4
		The Elder Dragon War	Enchantment	Read ahead (Choose a chapter and start with that many lore counters. Add one after your draw step. Skipped chapters don't trigger. Sacrifice after III.) I — The Elder Dragon War deals 2 damage to each creature and each opponent. II — Discard any number of cards, then draw that many cards. III — Create a 4/4 red Dragon creature token with flying.
		Jaya, Fiery Negotiator	Planeswalker	+1: Create a 1/1 red Monk creature token with prowess. −1: Exile the top two cards of your library. Choose one of them. 		Hurler Cyclops	Creature	{1}, Sacrifice another creature: Hurler Cyclops deals 1 damage to any target.	5/4
		Temporal Firestorm	Sorcery	Kicker {1}{W} and/or {1}{U} (You may pay an additional {1}{W} and/or {1}{U} as you cast this spell.) Choose up to X creatures and/or planeswalkers you control, where X is the number of times this spell was kicked. Those permanents phase out. Temporal Firestorm deals 5 damage to each creature and each planeswalker.
		Chaotic Transformation	Sorcery	Exile up to one target artifact, up to one target creature, up to one target enchantment, up to one target planeswalker, and/or up to one target land. For each permanent exiled this way, its controller reveals cards from the top of their library until they reveal a card that shares a card type with it, puts that card onto the battlefield, then shuffles.
Green		Tail Swipe	Instant	Choose target creature you control and target creature you don't control. If you cast this spell during your main phase, the creature you control gets +1/+1 until end of turn. Then those creatures fight each other. (Each deals damage equal to its power to the other.)
