Commander Clash S8 E2: CEDH w/ Play To Win | Flash Hulk vs. Curious Control vs. Urza Paradox Scepter vs. Opus Thief
Hey friends, welcome back to Commander Clash! This episode diving into the world of Competitive EDH aka CEDH, where Commander decks are tuned to the highest power levels possible. We've dabbled with CEDH in the past, but we never played with actual top-tier decks before. This time we're doing it right, however, as Seth and I play a game of CEDH with top-tier deck lists courtesy of our guests, Dylan and Cameron from Play to Win!
Fortunately for CEDH -- but unfortunately for our recording -- soon after we recorded this video, Flash got banned in Commander, making Tomer's deck, Flash Hulk, now illegal. Weird timing on that! But the game still ended up sweet, so I hope you'll enjoy what we've got:
- Cameron makes sure his opponents don't go too crazy with a Urza Paradox Scepter, a Stax deck that combos off with Urza, Lord High Artificer
- Dylan is running Curious Control, looking to control the board while drawing more incremental cards before combo'ing with Thrasios, Triton Hero & Vial Smasher the Fierce
- Seth is determined to the draw the most cards at the table while ripping away his opponents' hands with an Opus Thief deck led by Tymna the Weaver & Kraum, Ludevic's Opus
- Tomer plays the standard Flash Hulk deck, what was up until recently the strongest in the format, let by Thrasios, Triton Hero & Tymna the Weaver
Will Seth draw the most cards? Will Tomer manage to complete a single turn cycle without misplaying? Can Dylan & Cameron manage to get MTGO to do the things they want to do? Let's find out! But first, a quick reminder: if you like Commander Clash and other video content here on MTGGoldfish, make sure to subscribe to the MTGGoldfish Youtube Channel to keep up with the latest and greatest.
