Commander Clash S6 E5: Commander 2018 Part 2! (Gyrus vs. Varchild vs. Xantcha vs. Yuriko)

Welcome back to Commander Clash! Two weeks ago we started our belated celebration of Commander 2018 by building fresh decks around the planeswalker commanders. This week we take a shot at brewing around the other legendary creatures from the set! Let's see what we've got:

Three relatively unpopular commanders get to prove their mettle against everyone's favorite Ninja! Who will emerge victorious? Let's find out! But first, a quick reminder: if you like Commander Clash. and other video content here on MTGGoldfish, make sure to subscribe to the MTGGoldfish Youtube Channel to keep up with the latest and greatest.

Tomer's Deck (Yuriko)

Our Soft Ban List

Here on Commander Clash we follow the official ban list of the format, plus a few extra "soft bans" for our own group. We do this to lessen the probability of "unenjoyable" games being recorded; "unenjoyable" being defined as what the majority of you, the viewers, don't like seeing. Keep in mind that we record Commander Clash once a week and only have about ~4 hours to record, so we want to ensure that the games we play during our limited time end up being entertaining ones. With that in mind, this is our current soft ban list:

Next Week: Viewer Submitted Decks!

That's right, Viewer Submitted Deck week is back! Please submit decks that you, dear viewers, would like to see played by us in a future Commander Clash. Our favorite four decks from the submissions will then be featured in the episode! You can submit your deck list to us in the comments section of this article or in the Youtube comments section of this video. The submission deadline is Wednesday, March 20th.

We're picking decks that adhere to our soft ban list (see above). To increase your chances of the deck being picked, make sure it's well-constructed (enough ramp / interaction / card advantage) and yields entertaining games (isn't a turn 4 Combo or Hardcore Stax). And that's about it! Thank you for submitting and good luck!
