Budget Arena: Guildgates (Standard, Magic Arena)


Last time we were in Ravnica, we had Maze's End but this time around, we've got a decent amount of payoffs for playing guildgates. 

These four payoffs are cheap and actually make it worth having such a a slow mana base.

The deck definitely has power and recursion in Gate Colossus but this deck really can't beat decks that get underneath it's gameplan. The deck only interacts with Gates Ablaze and a singleton copy of Expansion // Explosion. This deck in best of one is kind of shaky against mono red which you all know for a fact theres a few copies of that deck running around on the ladder. It's wonderful that this deck is also absurdly cheap!
