Are GW Cookies the Best New Aggro Deck in Wilds of Eldraine Standard?

New Standard is here and we got to give it a try early with a free account from Wizards during the Wilds of Eldraine early access event! As strange as it may sound, one of the new Standard decks I'm most excited for is Green-White Cookies! We already had a bunch of pieces for an artifact-aggro-+1/+1 counter deck in Standard like Teething Wurmlet, Yotian Dissident, Patchwork Automaton and Ozolith, the Shattered Spire and Wilds of Eldraine added a bunch of missing pieces for the deck: Cookies! Cards like Gingerbrute, Syr Ginger, the Meal Ender and Tough Cookie are perfect support for the deck and they all happen to work extremely well with Agatha's Soul Cauldron (what's better than having a mostly unblockable Gingerbrute? Having a mostly unblockable team by giving everything Gingerbrute's activated abilities with Agatha's Soul Cauldron!) which also supports the +1/+1 counter plan, looping us back around to where we started. While I don't look making sweeping proclamations based on early access day, I will say that GW Cookies was - by far - the strongest deck I played during the event and I think it's aggressive but resilient gameplan might make it a real threat in Wilds of Eldraine Standard? Could Cookies really be the best new aggro deck in Standard? Check out the video and find out!
