Deck Primer / Description

I tried making Elf reanimator before, but couldn’t really find a good commander to make the strategy work. Tyvar Kell was my first attempt, but he just didn’t really work with what I wanted to do. Then I found my gurl Kagha and it started clicking. Kagha is a great set up for what we want to do in an elf reanimator deck, by setting up our graveyard, having built in recursion and being a deathtoucher when she attacks. We have cards in this deck that will mill our deck, so we can set up our graveyard even further and plenty of other recursion to make sure our board is stocked with Elves, plus a good number of our elves are manadorks and lords, so we have ramp and stat boosting. Then of course we have the stompiest of the stompy boiz (craterhoof behemoth) to go for the jugular.

Now we turn to the stars of the 99.
Tyvar Kell: While he didn’t work as a commander, his utility still makes him a star player, ESPECIALLY if you get his ult off. That emblem gives us a buttload of card advantage as well as giving our elves haste, so we can start swinging right off the jump.

Freyalise Skyshroud Partisan: Yeah she’s about as digital only as digital only cards get, but that doesn’t make her any less useful. Take her out if you feel like being a purist, but her stat boosting, untapping and card drawing via her conjure ability make her an absolute power house.

Marwyn, The Nurturer: She can get BIG as well as providing a ton of ramp.

Nissa, Who Shakes the Earth: Turns our lands into creatures, offers even more ramp.

Haunting Voyage: This is our ace in the hole. If we cast it for its foretell cost, then we get our ENTIRE graveyard’s worth of creatures back on the field. Yes it costs 7, but we have plenty of ramp to get this thing off.

Craterhoof Behemoth: EVERYBODY GO STOMP, STOMP, STOMP!
