Deck Primer / Description

Alora was raised by a group of giants and as a birthday present she was gifted a giant wurm of the Glaciers. Unfortunately he keeps getting lost so she has to keep searching for him.

This is an Alora, Merry Thief deck that uses Panglacial Wurm as a hidden commander, with Alora + Raised by Giants as backup and Voltron.

Cards like Isolation at Orthanc function as both removal and instant speed protection for the Wurm. Cards like Campfire and Put Away let you put the Wurm back into the deck if it does get put into the yard.

There are plenty of toolbox tutors that allow you to look for silver bullets, including Surrak, Hunt Caller to give Alora/Panglacial wurm haste after being replayed, and Zuran Orb for incidental life-gain amd something to do with spare ramp.

The only hard board wipes are Back to Nature and Creeping Corrosion, which are essentially without drawback since the deck runs very few of either artifact or Enchantments.

The deck wants to start with turn two ramp, turn three 4 mana ramp, and turn four play Alora and pivot into controlling and threatening to fetch the wurm and start beating down.
